Then—what looked like a blaze of burning red sun, suddenly appeared, exactly where Kayte had dug up the magic coin. And in a flash—it was gone! As they watched nervously, out of nowhere—she appeared; a beautiful fairy princess, with bright-hazel eyes, as golden as the summer sand. She was floating in midair, dressed in a long blue gown and holding a sparking wand.
Christian and Kayte were staring at her in awe. Their mouths were wide open; they were too afraid to speak. She was smiling at them and finally spoke, “Hello Christian and Kayte.”
“Hello,” they both responded.
The fairy princess continued, “Kayte, you must go to the river tonight; be there at exactly midnight. Before the clock strikes 12:01 a.m., you must dip your front hooves in the water three times, When you have done this, a sparkling, green door will appear. Quickly enter this door to receive your blessing! Your gift of providing milk for this family will be restored; and it will be the best-tasting milk on Earth, but beware, the door will only be visible for a few moments. And the evil Milk Troll will try and stop you from getting to it, in time.”
